Appraisal Services
A diamond appraisal
report indicates the estimated dollar value of a gemstone as of a certain
date. Appraisals can be performed on loose diamonds or jewelry mounted stones
and are most commonly requested for insurance value reporting purposes.

Jewelry appraisals will typically include the appraiser’s credentials, description
of the item, precious metal type and karat content, size and weight, and
photographs of the appraised item. Diamond appraisals will generally include
the number of diamonds, cut, shape, size, color, clarity, notable inclusions
or items effecting value. For larger stones the report will include the
table percentage, depth percentage, crown angle, girdle thickness, culet
size, and proportions.
